Academics is a broad-based Skill that represents a characters degree of education and general knowledge in the trivium of grammar, the quadrivium of arithmetic, music, geometry and astronomy. Dots in this Skill do not correlate to a given level of education. Formal academic instruction is very rare in this setting. However, individual teaching and tutoring in a non-academic context can give you just as much knowledge as the rare academia.

- Exceptional Success: Your character is well on his way to discovering the elusive information in her search providing greater detail and insight into the subject.
- Failure: Your character makes no progress in locating the information he's after.
- Dramatic Failure: Your character obtains flawed or inaccurate information that leads him to draw incorrect conclusions about the subject.
